Then you wouldn't know American public schools; generally, they suck or encourage mediocrity. There are some great ones, but they are few and far between.

I went to an American high school as well in Florida. The quality of the school (like anything else) varies from district to district. For example, the Fairfax County Public School system rivals (and in some areas exceeds) that of private schools. Conversely, the bordering Prince Geroge's County Public School system in Maryland routinely falls well below the national average. You should spend some time here... make a few constructive, funny, anti-conservapedia edits and you may get demoted to sysop! Where other wikis have established users, we have sysops. Where other wikis have sysops, we have 'crats. This is a very laid-back and fun place. Mostly we just go around refuting the anti-science folks and block each other for the hell of it!
