Uncyclopedia

From RationalWiki

Jump to: navigation, search

Uncyclopedia, founded, and 'spiritually' guided by Oscar Wilde, is a parody encyclopedia full of half truths, outright lies and deliberate distortions. And lots of satire ranging from the wonderful to the obvious - as such it is very similar to its sister site, Conservapedia, though on Conservapedia the humor is less intentional, if not entirely unintentional.

[edit] UC and reality

Ironically, Uncyclopedia in some cases is actually closer to the truth than Conservapedia. This was confirmed when Conservapedia stated that Uncyclopedia had a liberal bias, indicating that it is closer to reality.

[edit] Example articles

Uncyclopedia has an article on Conservapedia and on "Bias in Conservapedia" which are, of course, thoroughly accurate due to the aforementioned liberal bias.[1][2] RationalWiki has been honored with an Uncyclopedia article, as well. For the most part, it's a nice article although they do insist on yet another "IT WAS FORMED IN 244CE HA HA ISN'T IT FUNNY BECAUSE IT'S A TOTALLY STUPID DATE TO HAVE" joke.

It also has articles on EvoWiki,[3] CreationWiki,[4] and Liberapedia.[5]
