Judas
From RationalWiki
Judas Iscariot is the riddle wrapped up in an enigma wrapped up in a noose[1] of Christian mythology/legend/history. He was one of the original twelve of Jesus' apostles. The ever-infallible Bible offers two explanations of how he met his final demise. The book of Acts offers that he fell and spilt his intestines out, whereas Matthew states that he hanged himself. So maybe he hung himself, but the rope broke and he fell and spilt his intestines out.
[edit] Role amongst the apostles
Judas was, seemingly, the treasurer of the group. This seems to be an odd assignment for the man who's untrusworthiness (sic) is seen, in later Christian tradition, as second only to Satan himself.
