Melanie Phillips, also known as "Mad Mel", is an ex-communist cum-right-wing battle-axe batshit insane British journalist. And that's putting it nicely.
She is currently known for her articles in the Spectator magazine[2] where she is willing to support any pseudoscience, intelligent design,[3][4] global warming denialism,[5] anti-Muslim propaganda[6] and general idiocy.
She has been thought of as being a British satire.[7] However, her articles have yet to show the intelligence required to be classed as satire, and so she is more accurately considered to be a British version of, for example, Ann Coulter or Michelle Malkin.
