A while back a message appeared over my User Page asking "Why hasnt this user been banned?" or something. anyone know what that was about?

Thankyou. Very new to Wikis, so v little idea what I'm doing, but learning. This looks like a great resource and should be fun taking part. :)

I offer my welcome as well, as well as a couple of editing tips. When you are continuing a thread (as above) the common thing to do is to place a colon (:) before your post. This will indent your edit thus making it easier to distinguish from the post above yours. When the thread is several posts long, just place one more colon than the one above yours. Also, when you edit a talk page, you should place four tildes (~~~~) after your post so we know who is speaking. I hope these tips help. Happy editing! Just to add, you should take a peek at our newcomers guide. As we run our own copy of MediaWiki, which powers Wikipedia (and Conservapedia), you should also look at Wikipedia's guides, mainly wp:Help:Editing and wp:Help:Wiki_markup. However, our policies are different from Wikipedia's, so only use Wikipedia's help as a guide to the markup (formatting language). Have fun! CS Miller (talk) 14:40, 8 December 2009 (UTC)

<--A few things to add

1. It is safe to click the [Edit] link on any page. Just close the browser if you don't want to save any changes. This is useful if you want to find out how something is done.
2. Feel free to create any pages you want in your user space, for example user:padreObe/test, user:padreObe/test2, user:padreObe/somewhereOverTheRainBow.
3. You'll notice that I've removed the indent from this reply. We tend to do that when threads get too deeply nested.
4. Remember the "Show preview" button. It makes MediaWiki render your changes, but not save them to the page.

Well this is the warmst welcome I think I've ever got an a forum anywhere on the web, which is very nice. :) Some people might not have noticed my name is misspelled - there is an extra r in Pardre - i did this to make it the same as my YouTube id, but now I wish I'd used my richarddawkins.net handle, but never mind. Oddly enough, there have been two referencesd to sugar - as a diabetic, i have "issues" with sugar. It has actually been invilved with online rows i've had with people, but never mind.
