It applies in upper cases, at least. Not sure about lower ones. If FrankL is taken you cannot register FrankI (uppercase "i"). I think if any letter is taken you cannot register the lowercase version, but I'm not sure. I'll check sometime when I have a spare ip. DickTurpis 22:26, 24 November 2008 (EST)

Variants

Existence of Tarquink will prevent creation of TarquinK, or at least I've seen this happen with some names and letters, but it might not be all. I tried to create BillD, I believe it was, but was told it was too similar to Billd. I guess this should probably be tested with other letters, just to make sure. I left out the nicknames that end in -y or -ie, as they exist for just about every name, and aren't to common for adults, in most cases. (Likewise, while it might be reasonable for Andy to say "DavidP is taken, take DaveP" I'm not sure if a 40 year old man who had been known as William all his life would like be told he's suddenly "Billy"). I'm shocked no Benjamins or Edwards made the top 20 in this 30 years period, oh well. It seems to me all names should be removed that do are either not on this list or have less than 6 entries.
