It gets easier once your Pokemon are strong enough. Anywho, as I recall, Moltres can be seen in the first room you enter (when traveling from Viridian to Indigo League) in the uppermost right. ...Actually getting to it requires stumbling around and falling through the correct hole in the ground.

I hope so, too. Back on subject, don't you rotate your Pokemon? Although I suspect that mine are stronger than average (in relation to where I am in the game), probably because I spend a good many hours in-between each major journey/event leveling up my party. Is that normal?
