No problem, it's what I'm here for. TyBother me 19:26, 6 January 2012 (UTC)

Hallo![edit]

On your user page, a better description than "AIDS infected" is "HIV positive". More accurate and so on. Ta, --MtDPinko Scum 20:51, 4 March 2012 (UTC)

The ministry serves mothers and children actually suffering from AIDS not just all HIV-positive individuals; I'm not sure I understand how they make the distinction but they make one. From cdc.gov: "The population of HIV-infected persons with CD4+ T-lymphocyte counts of less than 200/uL is substantially larger than the population of persons with AIDS-defining clinical conditions".[1] Memesis (talk) 20:56, 4 March 2012 (UTC)
And since people with AIDS are HIV positive, it's the preferred term. It covers everyone. The CDC notwithstanding let me tell you that I am a person with AIDS (which means I'm HIV positive) and I understand precisely these clinical distinctions are made and they really only matter in a clinical setting. "AIDS infected" is an ugly, cretinous phrase which is inaccurate. "AIDS" is not an infection, but HIV is. In any case it's your userpage and you can have what you like on it. --MtDPinko Scum 21:03, 4 March 2012 (UTC)
As you like. Memesis (talk) 21:20, 4 March 2012 (UTC)

Thanks[edit]

Thanks for the reply. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving.

I'm fairly new to RW and I'm still learning the ropes (which explains my sloppy editing skills ;)). I am still active in my SDA church, but I have become skeptical of some of its woo-tastic claims and doctrines (especially as some SDAs keep peddling unverified conspiracy theories of various sorts to further the "Last Days" message). I try to keep quiet about it, however, because I don't want to incite conflict and strife among my peers. I still consider myself a believer, nonetheless. I am very big into science, and I always strive to learn more. G Man (talk) 05:38, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
