You'd better be a bot. I've got my eye on you. <font=""; face="Comic Sans MS">Jellyfish!Holy Roman empire 23:36, 15 June 2008 (EDT)

He is given me lip on the other side so yea, watch him. tmtoulouse oppress 23:38, 15 June 2008 (EDT)
Oh yeah, I'll watch it. I'll watch it real good.
Can I call myself "Tmtoulouse's Enforcer", maybe?
Who am I talking to? <font=""; face="Comic Sans MS">Jellyfish!Holy Roman empire 23:42, 15 June 2008 (EDT)
Sure sure, or Minister of Inquisition if you like. tmtoulouse oppress 23:44, 15 June 2008 (EDT)
I want cronies, too. Otherwise how will I terrorise the smallfolk? <font=""; face="Comic Sans MS">Jellyfish!Holy Roman empire 23:53, 15 June 2008 (EDT)

You're stuck now[edit]

You've made your first mistake, maggot. Now I'm gonna be on your back, breathing down your neck, until I can find something trivial to blow out of all proportion and hang you with. Have you ever tasted asphalt, you slime?

As you were.

Respectfully yours, <font=""; face="Comic Sans MS">Jellyfish!Holy Roman empire 01:11, 16 June 2008 (EDT) (Klassic Karajou :)

More no-legs propaganda. ħumanUser talk:Human 01:13, 16 June 2008 (EDT)
Blocked with the expiry "infinity plus one" for your contempt for jellyfish. MYOB. <font=""; face="Comic Sans MS">Jellyfish!Holy Roman empire 01:18, 16 June 2008 (EDT)

Curious[edit]

What is the algorithm? (And I don't mean how do he and Tipper avoid extra babies!) ħumanUser talk:Human 01:12, 16 June 2008 (EDT)

  • Logs onto the wiki
  • Pulls all text from WIGO
  • Open database
  • Query the votes from the database
  • Set up an array of 300
  • Add +1 for each element of the array that matches a vote id and whose answer is "yes"
  • Step through array looking for each element greater than 10
  • If an element is greater than 10 pull out the wigo text whose ID matches the array element
  • Strip code from WIGO and add formating code for Best of
  • Pull text from Bestof
  • Find location to add WIGO text and add it in
  • Write text to wiki
  • sleep(100000)

Think that covers it. Source available too if you want though its pretty dirty at the moment. tmtoulouse oppress 01:29, 16 June 2008 (EDT)

Oh, no need to see the source, I was just curious what it does, exactly. So when it runs, any WIGO over 10 gets moved to Best of? How long is "sleep (100000)"? Thanks! ħumanUser talk:Human 15:27, 16 June 2008 (EDT)
The time unit is seconds, so a sleep of 100000 would be a little more than a day, but thats been adjusted down. I am tweaking it now so that it can run as a chronic job in the background and pick them off as votes pass 10.
Though several things need to be adjusted, like the down votes which haven't been implemented in the calculation yet. tmtoulouse oppress 15:30, 16 June 2008 (EDT)
Can you make it so it waits a specific time after the posting, too? Some of our items have gone to 20-30 or so, picking them off at 10 kind of spoils the fun for later visitors. Or do they stay in WIGO still when it copies them to best of? ħumanUser talk:Human 17:26, 16 June 2008 (EDT)
Stays in WIGO till archiving, which wont happen till 300. tmtoulouse oppress 17:28, 16 June 2008 (EDT)
Eggselent! ħumanUser talk:Human 17:34, 16 June 2008 (EDT)
