Holy crap, that's appalling! This is exactly what scares me about these people. I think there's actually great complexity to the debate against fundamentalists of any kind - we kinda don't care what they say, ignore them, and assume they'll go away. But they don't. They have something we don't have - fundamentalist zeal - and because of that very fact, the fact that they live and breathe on the widespread denial of their beliefs, their voice become proportionally much louder than it ought to be. The 'Monday Morning Evangelist's Phonecall' to the White House is only one example. Us beating them over the head with facts is actually fanning the fires. We do indeed have to match their fervour, otherwise they end up promulgating their insane ideas into the general idea marketplace, as per your story here. I'm glad you joined the fight.
