Helping out is appreciated, but one-line stubs on trivial topics aren't. Sorry, but that's how it is. A good way to start helping out is by working on existing articles (like this one, for example). Creating a new article takes a bit more commitment (should really be at least a couple of good paragraphs long, preferably longer) & it's important to check first that it's relevant to the site missions & doesn't duplicate existing content.
