Good news! More Natural "Cures" Revealed was on teh $2.97 shelf at Books-A-Million and I couldn't resist. Just flipping through random pages "reveals" obvious bullshit on every "page". P. 571 of Natural Cures "They" Don't Want You To Know About, "About the Author": "Kevin pled guilty to felonies in his youth and spent almost two years in prison..." P. 29 of More Natural "Cures" Revealed: "'You're a convicted felon.' Old news. Virtually every interview I do starts off with the fact that I pled guilty to two felonies that I committed over twenty years ago." Salt and HFCS

The article says (but doesn't cite) that Kevin tells people to cut out these two things but that "you can get this good advice from most trusted physicians" anyway.

It's clearly crazy to cut out salt, you can't live without it. And although there's no special reason why you should eat HFCS, there's no reason (as RW's own article points out) to expect it to be much worse for you than cane sugar or other lovely sweet ingredients. Maybe all that's wrong is the author of this article meant to say cut down on here, but I have no way to know and there's no citation.

If we can cite Kevin saying something actually true here we should, and if we can cite him saying something widely claimed but still stupid, like "HFCS is super dangerous, eat cane sugar instead" then we shouldn't file that under "good advice". 82.69.171.94 (talk) 18:48, 12 June 2012 (UTC)
