Buy me a camera or I'll sue![edit]

I do like the compromise John Kwok offers PZ Myers to avoid a lawsuit. Buy him a $2500 used film camera! All because Kwok believes PZ is cyberstalking him. I wish I could vacation in such a fantasy world. Maybe it's too scary for me, though. --Irrational Atheist 16:08, 27 March 2009 (EDT)

But he still has PZ listed as a friend on Facebook! Oh dear.Silvermute 18:50, 4 April 2009 (EDT)

JK is still tolerated over on Panda's Thumb, and he repeatedly insists that the demand was a joke. "Well, it was still asinine, even if it was a joke." PT is talking about updates to the site, with one popular request being a killfile capability to help reduce the volume of trolls. JK objected, saying people needed to be aware of contrary opinions (it seems whether they want to be or not), but no doubt he was well aware that once a killfile capability was introduced, almost everyone would put him in it. Length and quotes[edit]

Ummmm ... does anybody agree with me that this article is perhaps a little bit long and heavy on quotes?--BobSpring is sprung! 11:07, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

Yeah. Perhaps more selective quoting with Kwok's actions described by us? We can still link to the various discussions in the footnotes. --ConcernedResident omg ponies!!! 13:27, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
It's somewhat heavy on quotes, but since he seems to act mostly sane on the places he's still allowed at, it's very useful to see why he has the reputation he does. Also, the Stuyvesant connection makes his attitude make a LOT more sense. I went to college with quite a few people from Stuyvesant (they were probably the biggest single high school represented, in a small liberal arts college) and a disproportionate number were like Kwok. Kwok's opinion on this article[edit]

Just FYI, John Kwok recently wrote:

What was written me at RationalWiki is very, very inaccurate (bordering on slander BTW) and I may do somethng about that eventually.(Source)

We may have to write a RationalWiki section soon. — Unsigned, by: Night Jaguar / talk / contribs

So has he just proven the opening sentence of the article? Scarlet A.pngmoral 01:30, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

Search Engine Optimisation[edit]

Is it just my search history: Google RW is #1 for "John Kwok" & Bing (which I've never used before) has us at #3 after Linked in & facebook. Strange. 01:47, 14 July 2010 (UTC) SusanG Toast

Amazon and the 2008(?) elections[edit]

I remember seeing John Kwok on the forums at Amazon.com babbling nonsense and strangely cheering for Sarah Palin despite her being the kind of creationist idiot he usually acts like he hates. I recall him advocating the assassination of (not yet) President Obama for some bizarre convoluted reason beyond the capacity of sane beings to understand, and rambling about Divine retribution despite that being incompatible with his claims that he's a Deist. This is why I (and probably others) mocked him in various fora by calling him "John Wilkes Kwok". I'm pretty sure he was deleted from the Amazon forums (though whether it was for advocating the assassination of a Presidential candidate, generally being an unhinged nuisance or both isn't entirely clear). Does anyone know where to find archives? Or would that even be worth bringing up?--Phantomreader42 (talk) 22:18, 3 February 2016 (UTC)
