Christianity, radical feminism

• Only some Christian sects are collectivistic... Correction: most Christian sects are collectivistic; collective duties form the central thrust. In liberal Christianity, this takes the form of one's obligations to one's "neighbors;" in fundamentalist Christianity, the clan mentality and "holy military service of Christ" type stuff.
• ..."radical feminism" is a snarl word. To some people, who think the adjective is redundant, it is; to actual radical feminists, it is a philosophy that rejects any view of gender-relations as a facet of some other struggle, but rather the other way around. I think it was trying (and failing) to comment on the pseudo-individualism of capitalist culture in which you can "express" your "individuality" by, say, choosing between Mac or Windows. You are what you buy! Nebuchadnezzar (talk) 04:13, 12 June 2013 (UTC)

What's wrong with collectivism?

I feel like this article portrays collectivism in a somewhat negative light, mostly with the table of comparisons and the quotes by fascists. I think it would be more proper to analyze it as a property of certain ideologies, whether those ideologies themselves are harmful (nazism) or not (secular humanism). ^{— Unsigned, by: 209.108.211.122 / talk / contribs}

I can agree that it is cast in a negative light which seems to be its most common usage. However, the usage seems to have become so broad that in many cases, it's become kind of meaningless as a term. It's just a placeholder for "Things angry people don't like", as liberal and Socialist have kind of become. I would be interested in seeing your analysis if you feel this strongly since this is a resource you can add to and no one is going to take up causes you feel strongly about better than you. -EmeraldCityWanderer (talk) 17:19, 1 February 2016 (UTC)
