Secular humanism
From RationalWiki
Secular humanism is a term referring to a branch of humanism which does not base itself on religious principles. One secular humanist organization is the Council for Secular Humanism.
The term is also a snarl word used by the religious right to denote any of a variety of Things They Don't Like. It is usually used to imply that somebody denies the Bible or Christianity, hence is a liberal, hates Jesus and America, is a practicing homosexual and atheist, and worse.
One of the more laughable arguments against secular humanism is that it is also a religion, and so should not be supported by government or textbooks either. This was actually (briefly) codified into law by William Brevard Hand, a judge in Alabama, but was very quickly overturned.
