Freedom

Freedom is the state of not having one's actions, words, or thoughts restricted or compelled by external factors.

  • The freedom to say that two plus two makes four. If that is granted, all else follows.
  • The post-enlightenment sense of personal freedom is that its only limit is when one's actions start to infringe upon the freedom of another person.
  • Of course, we also find many people who wish other people's freedom to be restricted to only what they themselves are comfortable with. See: Rudolph Giuliani.
  • Freedom is also what your fries and toast[1] are when launching an undeclared, unprovoked war.
  • Freedom's just another word for "nothing left to lose".
  • Freedom® brand Adult Undergarments, "Nothing says 'Freedom' like letting go in Sam's Club!"
