Janet Porter, formerly known as Janet Folger, is the founder and president of Faith2Action, a site dedicated to defending "pro-family" values but mostly known for as a group opposing the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2007. Folger is an evangelical Christian and a young earth creationist. Folger holds a master's degree in communications from Cleveland State University, and once worked for a Christian radio station writing and producing commercials. She does not have any degree in human sexuality, psychology or science. She is an anti-abortion extremist. She has appeared on many news outlets, programs, and radio programs. She has also engaged in numerous debates; such as with Planned Parenthood president, Gloria Feldt; National Organization of Women (NOW) president, Kim Gandy; former NOW president, Patricia Ireland; Jack Kevorkian; and spokespeople from the ACLU; The Human Rights Campaign; NARAL; GLSEN; and several atheist organizations.

She has written for WorldNetDaily, which, in a sane world, should be enough for people to avoid her like the plague. She is a conspiracy theorist who believes in birther garbage.

Anti-abortion activism

Porter is an anti-abortion ghoul who's contributed to the detriment of people across the United States through the passage of several draconian abortion restrictions across the United States. She was responsible for the trend of awful fetal heartbeat laws that would've banned abortions after 6 weeks, supposedly after a heartbeat is heard, with no exceptions for rape or incest, with heavy felony charges and fines if violators are prosecuted. The heartbeat crap has no medical basis. Her efforts were initially even seen by other anti-abortion groups as extreme, such as Ohio Right to Life, but as the political climate around lurched further right, she found success imposing such law in Ohio, and her positions are slowly becoming mainstream.

Creationism

Ms. Porter released the documentary Evolution vs. Creation in which she relied on the crack researchers of Duane Gish's Institute for Creation Research to misguidedly attack science in the hope of propping up her religious beliefs in its place.

Views towards homosexuality

Porter is a hateful bigot towards homosexuals, such a comparing homosexuality to alcoholism and "kleptomania". Porter firmly believes Christians are being victimized by the media and popular culture. Gay rights groups have persuaded Americans that Christians who condemn homosexuality are intolerant, she said, while actually it is gay people and their supporters who are intolerant of Christians. She says they are "forcing people to embrace their behavior". To illustrate her point that Christians are being targeted, she points to politicians policing schools not for guns or drugs, but to check for any children praying.
