This is one of the best optical illusions ever. 65.99.196.69 18:28, 20 November 2007 (EST)

I don't get it. What's the illusion? Researcher 18:40, 20 November 2007 (EST)
A and B are the same color tmtoulouse nettle 18:43, 20 November 2007 (EST)
I know that's how it's supposed to be but I ain't buying it. I covered (with paper) everything but "A" and "B" and they're differing values, though may still be the same color. 18:46, 20 November 2007 (EST) CЯacke®
Nope just photo shopped it to be sure, same value. tmtoulouse nettle 18:49, 20 November 2007 (EST)
I know! you don't believe it until you actually edit the pic and drag the A and B next to each other. It's amazing!!! 65.99.196.69 18:51, 20 November 2007 (EST)
I've been looking at this a bit recently because I was trying to explain a few things about colour relativity and bayesian inference to someone, and you know what the illusion has stopped working for me. Really, I can't see it any more, they look like the real colours. I assume I must have stared at it long enough generate enough of a precedent to override the established colour relativity and see the "real" tones. I.e., I have enough experience to develop a high probability prior for the non-illusion version. ADK...I'll abandon your boozehound! 16:29, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
