Statement of Intent

I got the idea for this a few days ago. I think it is probably quite useful to share some of these things, and use this section to document the way of the warrior. I have deliberately not put anything in here which compromises anyone, nor which compromises any dirty edits still out there - and there are still a few. What I would hope to do is to append this handbook with some good examples from the past so that people can see what has been achieved, and to inspire others who wish to do the same

Yorkshire Pudding

Yes it was real (although not a well established event as the article implied): I deleted it simply because it was absolute crap, trivial, meaningless and uninteresting to anybody except the writer and some sad anoraks in Yorkshire. :D לול 05:40, 9 June 2007 (CDT)

Password Hashes

MediaWiki uses hashes to store passwords, which means that the wiki software can only verify that the password is correct, but the password can never be extracted from the database. Technically, someone could go in and modify the code, but for any MediaWiki powered wikis, there's really nothing to fear from using similar or identical passwords. Should I add a note about that? Like its bastard cousin Essay:A Parodist's Guide to Villainy this actually harms the site's image.
