Mass shooting denialism is denialism of mass shootings according to conspiracy theorists who claim that their government commit hoaxes or "false flag" attacks. Victims of shootings are believed to be "crisis actors" rather than actual survivors. Denialists and conspiracy theorists who are typically very pro-gun claim that the shootings are a part of a plot to give themselves justification for abolishing the Second Amendment and making it more difficult to own a firearm or ban them outright.

Beliefs of mass shooting denialism

Just like many conspiracies that see an agenda that they consider "factual", mass shooting denialism does the same. It takes on the belief of "crisis actors." The crisis actors are supposedly doing this with a political agenda of their own to ban guns. Typical gun rights refuse to believe in the main account of the story due to their pre-existing beliefs about guns and dehumanize shooting victims as "crisis actors."

This dangerous ideology is so delusional that it makes flat earth conspiracy theory look better. The more people spent on believing in this delusional conspiracy theory, the more mass shootings well occur in the US in a never-ending epidemic. This, however, should not be surprising since half of Americans believes in at least some conspiracy theory.
