Anthropology is a science dealing with the study of human culture and society. Anthropologists tend to divide their subject into four subdisciplines: Biological Anthropology encompasses genetics and evolution, the fossil record, biodiversity and primatology. Cultural Anthropology explores variation in customs across culture. Linguistic Anthropology is the study of the evolution of language, descriptive linguistics and Ethnosemantics. Archaeology is usually also considered part of Anthropology.
