It would be helpful if you could substantiate the longer ones with references. Doing this not only saves other people the effort of finding a reference, but it reduces the likelihood that your edit will be reverted and also helps the reader understand what you're basing your claim upon. Whataboutism

If you're going to remove and replace content simply for readability issues, it's best to retain at least some of the references. I have replaced the references that you deleted. If you think some are inappropriate, that's another issue. Bongolian (talk) 21:15, 5 March 2017 (UTC)
