Thanks a lot, it's nice to feel welcomed here. Samstr (talk) 17:56, 19 October 2014 (UTC)

A freshman engineer, eh?[edit]

Enjoy this year of editting, and when it's over, we'll see you again 2.5 years after that, after you finish dynamic systems. Ikanreed (talk) 19:39, 21 October 2014 (UTC)

Yeah, right now I'm basically just doing gen ed requirements, so I still have a fair amount of free time.

Your input as an article author is needed[edit]

Please take a look at Talk:Lies to children.--ZooGuard (talk) 12:51, 25 October 2014 (UTC)

Blessed with suck[edit]

You're probably not insane. Enjoy! - David Gerard (talk) 12:08, 9 November 2014 (UTC)

Thanks a lot, I know that you give out sysop privileges to virtually everyone but it's still cool

Revision delete[edit]

Suppression should only be used for the following cases:

Potentially libelous information
Inappropriate personal information
home addresses and telephone numbers, national identification numbers, etc.

Please confirm that you intend to do this, that you understand the consequences, and that you are doing this in accordance with the policy.

Sorry, I was unaware of the vandal brake system in place. I've unblocked them and moved them to the vandal pile.
It's ok. I'm the only one who cares anymore. But what does the vandal bin have to do with hiding a revision? They're different concepts. Nutty Roux (talk) 23:18, 3 December 2014 (UTC)

Vandal-binning anons[edit]

Hi, Just so you know, it's poor practice to bin an anon, as it interferes with any logged-in users at that IP. A better solution is to simply block them. Brenden (talk) 22:24, 3 December 2014 (UTC)

Yes, people who just write "penis" randomly around the place are merely bored kids. Block them for a few hours and 99.9% of the time they never come back. SophieWilderModerator 22:31, 3 December 2014 (UTC)
I tried blocking them first but got yelled at :p.From what I read on the sysop guide blocking them for about a day was fairly standard procedure.Samstr (talk) 01:21, 5 December 2014 (UTC)

Gak92[edit]

Why are you sysopping them within a day of them joining? We've never thought it was good practice to sysop somebody on the same day they joined us. Noisemobile (talk) 17:00, 12 December 2014 (UTC)

According to this he actually registered in 2013. On his contribs page it shows that he has been making significant edits since September (and one edit back in 2013). Unless I accidentally changed the rights of the wrong person I think he seems fairly reasonable. (Although perhaps I should have just auto patrolled him). Samstr (talk) 17:30, 12 December 2014 (UTC)
Nevermind, it was I who was looking at the wrong account. My bad. Sorry. Noisemobile (talk) 20:11, 12 December 2014 (UTC)
No problem Samstr (talk) 20:22, 12 December 2014 (UTC)

I realize you're a freshman.[edit]

But you talk big and debate poorly. I'm going to give you a hard time. Nutty Roux (talk) 04:34, 15 December 2014 (UTC)

Sorry to be a dick to you. I'll leave you alone. Nutty Roux (talk) 22:44, 15 December 2014 (UTC)

I just randomly saw your name[edit]

You've been nominated in the upcoming moderator elections. See the nomination at RationalWiki:Moderator elections/Nominations. — Dysk (contribs) 03:15, 2 November 2018 (UTC)

Heads up[edit]

Ehm, I never proposed to administer the wiki using political parties. Just to create a register for political positions. And as I said, the thing about the best regions was a joke. Gewgtweg (talk) 15:28, 7 November 2018 (UTC)
