Hello, I'm Moobnert. I'm only here to loosen up the (what I perceive to be) leftist slant on some articles dealing with 'controversial' figures. I'm rather left politically, and I don't want this site to be so quickly shot down by not-so-left leaning individuals reading some of these articles just because some RW editors with their unjustified disdain for some popular figures leave an illegitimate impression of said figures for the readers. Below are a few possible questions you may or may not have about my presence here.

Are you really just here to mitigate leftist bias?[edit]

Yes. I think this site is quite cool with it's snarky humor and tearing down pseudoscientific ideas. If I can help to distinguish rational inquiry from leftist bias, that would make the site even cooler.

How do you identify leftist bias?[edit]

Well, I suppose it's not easy since I fall center-left on economic and social issues (to put into perspective, I generally regard the U.S democratic party as right wing), and I can't always recognize shortcomings in my argument. What I can do is refer to the scientific literature and identify these traits as biases from people who tend to lean left:

- Compassion for the weak

- Disparities are due to injustices

- Humans are inherently cooperative

- Change is good

- High in openness

- Idealist

Therefore, if I perceive an edit to contain these biases with improper rational inquiry to justify it, I'll try to change it. Of course, if there is justification to slant the narrative according to these biases, I'll leave it as is.

Why not also mitigate rightist bias?[edit]

By all means, if you can identify any RW article containing a rightist slant, please show me.

What exactly is a "moobnert"?[edit]

My name.
