Why did you ask me about my school?

Sorry that the majority of IP's for UI/Chicago are blocked. Unfortunately nearly 100% of past contributors have been deceitful troll/vandals. They use emails known to strip the headers, like Gmail, to hide there true identity and whereabouts, and as in your own case, proxies, that we specifically forbid, which also cloak the general location of the user.

How can a person doing that be trusted, how can one assume good faith when a person will go to such lengths to disguise themselves? Would it not have shown true good faith to ask why you could not access CP before using such proxies?

I am willing to "educate" myself about these matters, if only just one person, in the three years I have been an Administrator for CP, would be able to give some understandable reason for their seeming deceit.....

I asked because you said on your user page:

"I'm a college sophomore in the Midwest. I participate in the Model UN, the John Birch Society, and the Federalist Society at my University's law school. Debating and listening to grad students and the great speakers we get is a better education than I'm getting from the college. I look forward to stimulating conversation here. PS I hope I'm not breaking any rules - I couldn't initially create an account here from my dorm because the IP address is blocked."

So since you brought up the possibility of breaking rules, that you were a college student, and that your school's IP was blocked, that made my question appropriate, I thought.

I don't know why you want to assume bad things about me. I don't even know you. I'd rather assume good things about people unless and until they prove me wrong, specially when I don't know them. I obviously had to use a proxy because as I wroteI can't make my account from campus. Deceit is a harsh word and I don't know what you think would have shown good faith but it's so awful to assume bad faith when I didn't do anything wrong and tried to be honest and you don't know what's in my heart. I haven't lied to you and nobody has called me deceitful since I was a little kid.

I don't even know what stripping headers means. I do know that I don't use my campus email address except with my family and friends because my true identity is nobody's business when all I want to do is write a wikipedia.

Why are you so mean? Do you really want to keep everyone from Circle Campus from working on Conservapedia?

"Mean" as a descriptor for speaking plainly, without obfuscation, is a liberal convention.

Unless you are meaning to troll here, why do you take what I wrote and ignore it, and in a silly contrivance, try to paint me as mean? Where you come from, is asking reasonable questions, and asking for explanation of what you yourself posted on your CP user page mean? I am assuming nothing about you other than what you have told me, and the world, via your CP page.

Assuming good intent is another liberal, Wikipedia bunch of clap trap. You, supposedly being conservative, should know that, as well as knowing deceit, which is to trick, misrepresent or hide the truth, is exactly the correct word to describe using proxies to get around IP blocks. To show lack of deceit, one would have contacted the administrator who blocked the IP's and asked for an exemption. That, by the way, is what most honest people (liberal or conservative} would have done, have done many times.

You need to man-up, IMO.

You blocked the whole UIUC system on June 16.

21:51, 16 June 2009 TK (Talk | contribs) blocked 131.193.0.0/16 (Talk) with an expiry time of 3 months (account creation disabled) ‎ (Same IP(s) as previously blocked user(s): Univ of Chicago, LemonPeel, et.al. Enjoy your summer vacation!)

I can exempt anyone I like from those range blocks. As I first said, absent deceit, all a person had to do was follow the instructions, contact the blocking Admin, and explain.

YOU assumed bad faith, by refusing to contact us, and creating yet another user account. That is simply something a real conservative would not have done. You post on your user page now appears to be just another lame liberal attempt to create an "out" if discovered, or a set-up for some sort of public argument.

"Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive." Words to live by.

Huh? I didn't do anything wrong, TK. How am I supposed to know I was supposed to ask for an exception when I wasn't the person blocked in the first place and as far as I can see there isn't even a rule against using proxies? You sure like saying nasty things without knowing my state of mind. I did not assume bad faith. If anything, I made a mistake, which is understandable because I'm new. You seem to have this thought out a lot more than I do and your definitely being mean about it. If I'm getting accused of deceiving and being liberal the first day I join what should I expect tomorrow?

After your rude introduction I did some searches on Google about Conservapedia and you and found RationalWiki. If even half of what they say is true, you're either insane or a sadistic parody. I don't know why you wanted to go out of your way to accuse me of "deceit" and being a liberal (I'm not) as if that's a bad thing. But you can go ahead and expand the block of my entire university to the city of Chicago if it would make you feel better. I won't be participating in Conservapedia after the way you treated me.
