I'm Alex. I've basically never used this stuff before (written a few things on Wikipedia, but absolutely no use of the templates - that would be far too complicated), so please be gentle! I'm an undergraduate at university studying Biochemistry. I'm sure you can appreciate the number of girls I have throwing themselves at me at those words.

I would describe myself as liberal, insofar as I disagree with pretty much all the far/extreme-right stuff at Conservapedia and those other nutty places. Beyond that, I'm still unsure, as there are very few 'moderate' conservatives on internet message boards: it seems to swing between "the Bible is God's word" and "Obama is a socialist/communist/muslim/Kenyan/unpatriotic president who won't show his birth certificate". No real middle ground.

However, I do think science is awesome; I have been introduced to proper practices of evaluating evidence by reading Ben Goldacre and Rationalwiki (thanks guys!), with the easy target of fundamentalist Christianity a good place to practice.

Anyway, nobody's read this so never mind.
