When you have merged two duplicate articles, put this template at the top of the completed article's talk page as a permanent marker. It links directly to the old article's history. Use the following code, replacing the word "article" with the title of the previous duplicate article:

Optional but preferred: include the date (or at least month and year) of the merge. Use this format:
