'Converse of spending the kids' inheritance concept' - (doing things specifically to annoy the above groups) - and possibly actually the case in some instances. 'Actually' Stonehenge in its earlier incarnations was an alien spaceship geo-energy power-up point. The locals got so annoyed with alien litter louts/(insert other 'stupid tourist stereotypes') that they knocked a couple of stones over, so the alien-tourists went elsewhere. 82.44.143.26 (talk) 17:34, 14 January 2015 (UTC)
Stonehenge evolved over a long period, and probably served many different faiths - including the present assortment. When not otherwise used it served as a venue for rock concerts. Anna Livia (talk) 16:23, 6 August 2018 (UTC)
Events c 2500 BC[edit]
The construction of Stonehenge is being discussed - and the central coordinating committee get representations from the local NIMBYs, and persons denouncing it as a blot on the landscape and/or destroying the skyline, a monstrous carbuncle, 'why import stone from Wales when we have perfectly good mudbrick?', while various National Unions of Stone Hauliers and Stone Masons etc (Nation in this context = (part of) Salisbury Plain) have bitter demarcation disputes - the monument being constructed in the (long separated) intervals between strikes.
