Book of Joshua[edit]

Why do YECs argue from daily rotation this or that at all? Aren't they biblical literalists? Joshua 10:12-13 says that Joshua told the sun and moon to stand still and that "the sun stopped in the middle of the sky and did not hasten to go down for about a whole day." This wording (the same as in original Hebrew) plainly implies geocentrism and a fixed Earth, whereas reconciling it with daily rotation requires rather tortured interpretation. This same scriptural argument was used against Galileo. How do YECs get around this difficulty? 128.124.252.246 (talk) 07:09, 21 October 2021 (UTC)
