Yeah, I don't know that they count as "centrist stupidity", but they do occasionally get some things wrong in bafflingly reaching ways. Like when Bernie Sanders said that Exxon Mobile got a $156 million tax refund for 2009 they called that false because they paid other kinds of taxes, like state taxes, even though the number is totally accurate. - Most of their fact checks on him seemed pretty fair, and they never used a pants-on-fire for something inappropriate vis-a-vis bernie. That's the worst case from their entire list of bernie claims. The reason the Washington Post fact checks are so stupidly, brain breakingly bad about him is they hired a "center right" fact checker for their team for "balance". - I was just going over some bad fact-checks by FactCheck.org and I did link to a tweet listing bad fact-checks by WaPo and now I'm seeing PolitiFact flubbing on fact-checks.
