It's been so long since I've done anything on here, thank you for making this look more proper! Researcher (talk) 01:41, 9 August 2015 (UTC)

"The use of the word men is telling"[edit]

No, it's telling only of a widely accepted English norm. I'm sorry grammatical gender is a distinct concept from biological gender, but I'm not. WalkerWalkerWalker 06:55, 10 August 2015 (UTC)

Um, I don't see how grammatical gender is relevant here. If anything, it's a matter of different possible meanings. And though "man" is still relatively often used to refer to humans in general, using "men" in this manner seems a bit archaic. 142.124.55.236 (talk) 07:27, 10 August 2015 (UTC)
As someone who was around in the 60's - there is nothing 'telling' in the use of the word 'men'. 08:51, 10 August 2015 (UTC)
Oh, and I've amended 'our' allies to 'his' allies - not everyone here is a Yank. Doxys Midnight Runner (talk) 08:52, 10 August 2015 (UTC)
Thanks for amending the allies thing, you are absolutely right on that. My bad. As for the other, yeah, I'll grant that in the '60s, that kind of speech wouldn't have been archaic like today. I'm good with little bit of snark being removed. Researcher (talk) 09:40, 10 August 2015 (UTC)

Medicaid[edit]

Medicaid is unequivocally the worst healthcare system in the developed world, so why is it being celebrated as a lifeline to the poor? I, as a pastor, live below the poverty line technically, but there is undeniable proof that the health results of Medicaid are no better than those with poor people who have no insurance. Therefore, trillions of taxpayer dollars are being spent to no avail. --William Grimes (talk) 16:07, 7 November 2017 (UTC)

Apparently Medicaid in my state will cover “cross-sex hormones” for sinful transvestites but not acid reflux medication in my state. Is that not messed up?! --William Grimes (talk) 15:29, 1 December 2017 (UTC)
It is messed up that it does not cover acid reflux medication, but I don't see why you needed to bring up transvestites. Also, for your information, a transvestite is different to a person who is transsexual or transgender. CowHouse (talk) 15:35, 1 December 2017 (UTC)
I think it is important to consider that Obamacare has raised health insurance premiums tremendously, and in doing so has forced more Americans than ever in the Medicaid program, which is objectively the worst health care program in the developed world. The fact that they will pay for enabling a lifestyle of sinful delusions regardless of whatever you want to call it, but will not treat legitimate medical conditions shows how liberal Obamacare has its priorities way out of whack. It is also true that pumping men with estrogen tremendously increases the chance for heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and other conditions, and proves how inefficient government and the liberal agenda is. --William Grimes (talk) 16:00, 1 December 2017 (UTC)
So are you saying that a single-payer healthcare system would be better, since that's very common in the developed world? Nobody "pumps men with estrogen" anyway. L̤̈ÿ̤n̤̈n̤̈R̤̈ (̈ẗ̤ä̤l̤̈k̤̈)̈ (̈c̤̈ö̤n̤̈ẗ̤r̤̈ï̤b̤̈s̤̈)̈ @ 16:36, 1 December 2017 (UTC)
All government run healthcare programs have shown to be total failures, but Medicaid is of course by far the worst offender, and the main thing that Obamacare accomplished was kicking people off better private programs and onto the subpar Medicaid program. While we indeed are pumping men full of estrogen in this country. Isn’t that what the liberal ideology of Transgenderism is all about? We’ve made men so effeminate through the feminist movement and by suppressing boys with Ritalin as the public schools treat boys like defective girls. Therefore, men now think they are women and seek to engage in experimental medical prosecutes that are detrimental to physical and mental health. We need to treat our mentally ill far better in this country, and RINOs like McCain who voted against repealing the Obamacare monstrosity aren’t helping. --William Grimes (talk) 17:27, 1 December 2017 (UTC)
Hold up "Transgenderism"? Where did you get that particular snarl word? GrammarCommie (talk) 17:37, 1 December 2017 (UTC)
I don't think I've ever seen a paragraph with more inaccuracies. I seriously hope you're either a troll or too young to vote. L̤̈ÿ̤n̤̈n̤̈R̤̈ (̈ẗ̤ä̤l̤̈k̤̈)̈ (̈c̤̈ö̤n̤̈ẗ̤r̤̈ï̤b̤̈s̤̈)̈ @ 19:43, 1 December 2017 (UTC)
