"Misinterpretations"[edit]

I'm very sceptical of the claims made in this section: viz that a non-active homosexual would be classed as a Kinsey 0 ("exclusively heterosexual"). Can somebody who's studied this subject properly please weigh in to corroborate this or otherwise? Ta. WèàšèìòìďWeaselly.jpgMethinks it is a Weasel 21:23, 30 June 2013 (UTC)

I may have misinterpreted the description from WP when I wrote this...let me know what you think. --Seth Peck (talk) 19:10, 2 July 2013 (UTC)
The [Kinsey Institute's webpage on the scale] talks about "sexual behavior, thoughts and feelings towards the same or opposite sex". That's about the limit of my reading on this, but I think you may have misinterpreted the concept of sexual behaviour to include only experiences involving other people. Desire, masturbation, etc. are still sexual behaviours. WēāŝēīōīďWeaselly.jpgMethinks it is a Weasel 19:49, 2 July 2013 (UTC)
I think you're right. --Seth Peck (talk) 20:01, 2 July 2013 (UTC)
Where would 'some of the more obscure corners of fanfic' be placed (relationships with and between any number and type of sentient entities, whether organic or constructed, and science fiction or fantasy; much slash being written by women for women etc) 171.33.222.26 (talk) 14:30, 2 August 2013 (UTC)

403 Forbidden Error?[edit]

Hey, guys, I noticed the addition of the multi-dimensional "genderbread" extension, as well as a link to the source. Being very much interested in transgender rights for very good reasons (being trans myself), I immediately went ahead and clicked the link, only to be greeted with the very much pertinent and useful 403 Forbidden Error. So...why can I not access that image? What's on it? I must know! Any help on how to get permission to see that image would be nice.

Sorry for the crassness, but in a world where every idiot from the goons at Fox News to the fucking Pope can't even get basic pronouns right, I simply can't rest without knowing what I should be calling myself (trans-woman; would be a 5 on the Kinsey scale post-op. Basically, "almost-lesbian"). Thanks in advance! Sensual Endeavor, the sexy pony ;) (talk) 05:38, 8 March 2015 (UTC)

It was linked to a Facebook image post. I don't know why you were getting a 403; I could view it fine whether or not I was logged into FB. Anyway, I've now linked to the original blog post it was taken from instaed. Hope you can access that OK. WěǎšěǐǒǐďWeaselly.jpgMethinks it is a Weasel 13:26, 8 March 2015 (UTC)
Clarification: at the time of the complaint above, it was a direct link to an image hosted on the "metrosexual" site. I decided to fix it and in the process discovered that the concept has undergone several iterations due to criticism. The linked Facebook post is one of the latest versions by the same author whose original you linked. And that particular execution of the "genderbread person" has... issues. Example from the-wiki-that-could-be-considered-a-splinter-of-RW: http://sjwiki.org/wiki/Genderbread_person (no guarantees that all trans people would agree with everything on that page, though).--ZooGuard (talk) 15:59, 8 March 2015 (UTC)
So what? The article text is only about " the creation of the Genderbread Person", not the latest iteration of it (which may well be revised again at some point). Meanwhile the low resolution & nasty pixel noise of the Facebook image you're linking to make it almost unreadable. Link to the blog post instead; if the author wishes to revise it, ey should update eir blog. €₳$£ΘĪÐWeaselly.jpgMethinks it is a Weasel 16:47, 8 March 2015 (UTC)
They did. The page you linked to had a link to version 2 in a large blue box. I've updated the link.--ZooGuard (talk) 16:53, 8 March 2015 (UTC)
Can you view that version? I'm getting a 403 error . . . ΨΣΔξΣΓΩΙÐWeaselly.jpgMethinks it is a Weasel 17:08, 8 March 2015 (UTC)
Yes, I can see it both on the linked page and the "large size" direct link. I think I'm just going to put in a Google search.--ZooGuard (talk) 17:21, 8 March 2015 (UTC)

Other versions?[edit]

Where would 'other interests' fit in 0 - don't care for BDSM/Furryism etc/7 totally into such things? Would end up with a table or matrix of some form.

And where would fanfic writers fit in (slash fiction, hurt/comfort, 'weird and wonderful' etc)? 31.51.114.125 (talk) 22:55, 11 February 2017 (UTC)
