This page could definitely use a more extensive biography and some quotations. He makes you wonder if there's a ceiling on just how much a televangelist can get away with. Amateur scientician (talk) 01:45, 6 July 2011 (UTC)

Do not worry. I will fill it in. For me, its personal. I lived in that place called Baton Rouge, LA for a while. Do not worry, I came out with most of my mind intact. The cult is alive and well, though struggling. I worked right alongside folks who were True Believers (tm). The article does not mention the bizarre "punishment box" Swaggart put himself in on TV after all that. Nor does it mention details about him getting caught off Airline Drive (a notorious area for hookers and a great place to smoke crack even post Katrina) in the "sinner" city of New Orleans. Also, because folks wised up to him and do not want to live there and do Bible study, the College is now all made into furnished apartments for rent still owned by the Center. I got a weird freaky offer to move into those with a hint of having to "show up" to the Family Center with my girlfriend when I first moved to BR by this wild-eyed co-worker who was a Bible Thumper. I did not take them up on it. They would have loved an agnostic anarchist-leaning crazy like me -evil grin-. --Green1 (talk) 09:55, 5 May 2012 (UTC)

  • Very* nice revision! I'll be adding in some of the ComStar stuff, could raise a real awarness!108.236.161.252 (talk) 03:17, 15 June 2012 (UTC)

It should be pointed out that Swaggart has three grandchildren, and that only one turned out to be a crazy asshole. The other two turned out to be normal, well-adjusted members of society. — Unsigned, by: 70.180.34.209 / talk / contribs

Ugh[edit]

His church makes Bluebonnet pretty much impassable. If I'm going down that way I'll try and snap some photos of his church, bookstore, college, and radio station. Nobodydon't bother 21:50, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
