Talk:God of the gaps
From RationalWiki
God is a God of the Gaps to those who are perishing:
| “ | 1CO 1:18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written:
| ” |
God does not reveal all:
| “ | DT 29:29 The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law. | ” |

- I'm sure this is very profound HG - but could you expand your logic a bit? Thanks.--Bob_M (talk) 04:04, 26 May 2007 (CDT)
- No logic, just verses I found relevant. Hope you don't mind. But if you do, you can archive them, or even delete them. Heart♥Gold tx 04:50, 26 May 2007 (CDT)
I think the whole God of the Gaps thing has a greater effect on the rational side than just being "silly", as ID shows. You stick God into someplace, and it's devilishly hard to get him out. True Believers will often resist and actively oppose attempts to dig God out of a place we actually have an explanation for, such as the theory of evolution, or the age of the earth. --Kels 05:49, 26 May 2007 (CDT)
- True, but in that case they're not really working on logic - just belief, or training I suppose.--Bob_M (talk) 07:53, 26 May 2007 (CDT)
Nothing to do with the London Underground then (Mind the gap) . Mad Min 07:24, 26 May 2007 (CDT)
