I suggest anyone who is reading this "talk" read the report from the FBI to know that every acusation that was investigated ultimately boiled down to baseless trolling and one really sorry/apologetic 15yr old gamer who joined onto gamergate in late 2014.
I would also argue that gamergate has been around unofficially since the early 2010's ever since atheism+ failed and the feminists began trying to co-opt a different group.

- Seems this got overlooked. I can attest to this article being a "go to resource", since that's basically what it is and it's the best one I found on the internet when I was looking up stuff about Gamergate. Missionality; not even in question. The amount of crankery attached to this shitshow is honestly impressive. References galore, so that's not an issue either. Maybe some minor work could be done to keep "transient resources" preserved by using the templates we have dedicated to those, but otherwise I'd say "why didn't we frontpage this a while ago". Does this article need to have an indefinitely protected talkpage? Would seem weird to have a gold article with an inaccessible talkpage.
