I see a lot of inaccuracies & misconceptions here, especially re why the war took place & what it was about. But most of all, what does this have to do with RW & our missions? ŴêâŝêîôîďWeaselly.jpgMethinks it is a Weasel 15:20, 25 November 2016 (UTC)

Nor I. But from the looks of it, it uses the outdated Revisionist school interpretation. Historians have been moving away from the "War of the Three Kingdoms" since the '90s as it was too focused on religion and not on the gentry. Plus it was liable to be misunderstood and people could treat Ireland as being "England but with Catholics" which ignores any social differences that might have an impact (e.g. Ulster resentment towards being forced southwards to make way for settlers, and Cromwell wanting to teach them a lesson after a massacre of settlers some years prior).-- Forerunner (talk) 16:28, 25 November 2016 (UTC)
