Discussion[edit]

Dave Ramsey (born 1960) is a smart man who helps people get out of debt and to learn how to manage money and to save so they can retire rich. He’s a devout Christian so he quotes Proverbs saying the borrower is slave to the lender. He tells you to never get a credit card and to pay cash because credit cards make you spend more. Self righteous liberals like to say he’s wrong but it’s because liberals don’t know how to manage money. They need to listen to and follow Dave Ramsey. — Unsigned, by: J. I do not understand why you need a hit piece on this man. He just wants people to save money and get out of debt. How is this a negative thing? Is RationalWiki in cahoots with the banks and the credit card companies and the payday lenders or something?! Is it somehow good to spend money you don't have? Applying Keynesian economic theory to your own personal budget is something liberals actually do?? Congress may have access to a money machine, but households sure don't! --J. Doesn't read like a "hit piece" to me. Seems almost approving. Of course he's a religious nut and therefore somewhat suspect. It's in Draft not (yet) a mainspace article. Scream!! (talk) 20:29, 28 September 2018 (UTC)
What changes do you propose, aside from your "revised" version, Wimpy? --Sophie (talk) 15:24, 29 September 2018 (UTC)
I see there's been more added to this article. Why is Ramsey somehow wrong about Obamacare being socialism? Also, what is wrong with his investment advice? Also he recommends tithing only to Christians! --J. Wellington Wimpy (talk) 17:59, 29 September 2018 (UTC)
