Talk:Anti-Zionism

Is it opposition to the Israeli government, or the Israeli state? Is the opposition caused by opposition to the actions of the Israelis, or opposition to the idea of a homeland for Jews? I'd be inclined to think it's more an anti-semitic opposition to the idea of a place for Jews. And declaring the Israeli government totalitarian isn't too far removed from Tea Partiers comparing Obama to Hitler. EddyP Great King! Disaster! 21:31, 23 April 2011 (UTC)

Anti-Zionism can't be defined as a unified ideology (the Wiki article is, of course, a good place to start). It's often used as a cover for anti-Semites and neo-Nazis, but there are many Jews who are anti-Zionists. Nebuchadnezzar (talk) 21:42, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
You're probably right, but I have to say anti-zionism sounds similar to "I'm not racist, but..." EddyP Great King! Disaster! 21:48, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
I redirected this to Zionism, because that article already discusses anti-Zionism in detail, and Zionism and anti-Zionism are so closely connected, it doesn't make much sense to have two separate article.s --(((Zack Martin))) 22:00, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
