South Carolina, "the palmetto state", was the first slave state to secede from the Union and the only one to have never returned.

The only good thing to come out of South Carolina is Stephen Colbert.

As for the bad, South Carolina seems to have a problem with crank institutions masquerading as "universities" setting up shop there, like Bob Jones University and The Citadel.

Students in South Carolina who go to school there do not have a lot of maps like the students in South Africa and the Iraq and other Asian countries. This is why a high proportion of United Statesian Americans are unable to identify countries like America and such as why our school systems, like, need to be improved.
