A proton is a subatomic particle with a mass of 1.0073 amu and carrying a positive (+) electrical charge. Protons are found in the nuclei of atoms, and the number of protons in the nucleus determines the element.
Protons consist of three quarks , 2 'up' and one 'down', this defines them as baryons.
In the alternate reality of some people, protons are actually demons incarnate.
