Attachment therapy refers to a number of purported theraputic treatments for attachment disorder, many of which are based on discredited, obsolete, or quack theories. One such treatment involves having the child and parent stare at each other for prolonged periods of time. Rebirthing is another notorious (and occasionally deadly) therapy, now illegal in many places.
