On-mission, no question, but...[edit]

Conspiracy theory? Beale is certainly a crank magnet, but I'm not quite sure where the conspiracy is. EVDebs (talk) 23:27, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

There's gold in them thare hills[edit]

... for the locals letting out rooms and selling stuff to the would be treasure hunters. 86.147.207.246 (talk) 14:32, 15 December 2014 (UTC)

Cipher key[edit]

Is there a reason why it is assumed that the first and third texts supposedly use a different cipher key and not a different cipher altogether? 21 June 2015

Ditty[edit]

  1. The supposed ciphers of supposed Beale
  2. For money and curiosity do appeal
  3. Whether or not they are real
  1. To explore is fun
  2. Even if 'reward there is none'
  3. And a good reason to be out in the wild and the sun.

Ditty[edit]

I would have 'improved' it had it not been deleted.

The main reasons it persists - people enjoy a puzzlehunt/having a reason to go into the wild that does not involve huntin', shootin' and fishin' (and some people at least have found 'interesting things which are not the stated treasure'). 85.115.54.202 (talk) 18:30, 22 December 2015 (UTC)

... and it is back again.85.115.54.202 (talk) 18:34, 22 December 2015 (UTC)

So, now that it is back are you going to improve it? -EmeraldCityWanderer (talk) 19:04, 22 December 2015 (UTC)
