Theamazingatheist (aka TJ) is a YouTube personality known for being a jerk. While he is a skilled debater in many ways, and has refuted many creationist videos, he also has a tendency to attack anyone who is even moderately religious, or who is willing to tolerate religion. The two most infamous cases of Theamazingatheist being a jerk are his attacks on DonExodus2, a Christian who defended the Theory of Evolution and accused creationists of "bearing false witness," and Coughlan666, a fellow atheist who committed the sin of believing that the creationist NightVisionPhantom was a human being who deserved some compassion and understanding when he was going through a difficult time in his life.
It should be noted that in the case of Coughlan666, the attack was partially caused by a misinterpretation. Coughlan666 said that if they were nice to NightVisionPhantom he "might come around." This was intended to mean he might realize that all non-Christians aren't out to get him, but TJ took it to mean he was trying to use NVP's emotionally vulnerable state to convert him to atheism. Even so, though, his video contained a rant about what a horrible person NVP was, because if a person who disagrees with you is chronically depressed that's appropriate according to TJ.
While Youtube has forced him to limit himself and stop using profanity, he has started posting videos as "The Distressed Watcher" on thatguywiththeglasses.com, in which he reviews bad movie trailers. While he mostly stays on topic, he has been known to go off on hating religion, most notably in the trailer for the movie "Legion," to which he gave bonus points for making God the villain in a mainstream Hollywood film. In his latest, and arguably best episode, he also made fun of the entire concept of A Christmas Carol for tormenting a man who didn't appreciate a religious holiday.
