RationalWiki:Namespace

From RationalWiki

Jump to: navigation, search

Namespaces are prefixes before the title of a page. For example:

Article - no prefix
User page - User:
Template - Template:
Help - Help:
Technical pages used by the wiki software itself - MediaWiki:
Images - Image:
Pages intended for use inside other pages - Template:

It is important when creating some articles to use the correct format.

For essays by signed authors, please start the article name with "Essay:"

For debate pages, please use "Debate:"

For articles about RationalWiki itself, please use "RationalWiki:"

For articles about the goings-on at Conservapedia, please start the article name with "Conservapedia:"

For recipes, yummy or doubtful, please use "Recipe:"

For amusing articles about not much at all, use "Fun:"

The "Category:" namespace is somewhat magic; pages tagged with [[Category:foo]] would be listed on the Category:foo page.

Each of these namespaces has a corresponding 'talk' namespace, for discussion about the articles in that namespace.

Thank you,
