Pagan
From RationalWiki
Pagan, similar to Heathen, originally meant a country dweller, and became a pejorative term for those who had not yet converted to Christianity during the period immediately following the conversion of the European nations to Christianity. The implication was that Christianity was supposedly a civiling force, and those who continued to persist in the old ways were mainly found in rural areas.
Today it is more commonly used to refer to believers in one of the many varieities of neopaganism, or in Wicca.
