Fair use rationale for use in the article RationalWiki:Moderator elections/Campaigning#Propaganda goes here
Even though the media MARWIGA hat.png is copyrighted and not released under a free license, I, CircularReasoning, feel it is covered by fair use for at least one of the following reasons:
- No free alternative exists.
- The image is of significantly lower resolution than the original (copies made from it will be of inferior quality).
- The screenshot does not limit the copyright owners' rights to distribute the book in any way.
- The screenshot is related to, and is intended to represent, CircularReasoning's campaign for RationalWiki moderator. Its inclusion is important because it is used as a template for a parody of Donald Trump's MAGA hats, in an attempt to be funny so users will vote for him.
- The screenshot is being used for informational purposes only, and its use is not believed to detract from the original book in any way.
- The placement in a RationalWiki article is being used for informational purposes only, and its use is not believed to detract from the original copyrighted media in any way.
- A free alternative may not exist now, but in the event of a free alternative being located for the article "RationalWiki:Moderator elections/Campaigning#Propaganda goes here" in the future, this file should be deleted as soon as possible.
