I think your perspective and pejoratives relative to the possibilities of human spiritual experience are cold, hard, limiting, angry, and counterproductive.  As an atheist myself, let me say -- I have "spoken to god", asked questions, and received answers (surely you have stalked my website by now).  That does not mean I "believe" - just that I have an open mind, and have had certain strange experiences.  I have chosen to interpret them through very rationalisitic points of view -- meaning that I see them as, at most, psychotic episodes, and at best, a way to understand a very confusing aspect of human nature.  But when you lash out at various kinds of believers on this site with your angry, unsympathetic, coarse language (and, might I say, lack of rational argument), you insult us all in our striving to be one, and perhaps, ''more'' with ourselves. It wasn't meant to be a criticism Susan, I often wait hours for the plebs to clear off out the way before I take a pic. Jollyfish.gifGenghis Marauding 17:48, 29 February 2008 (EST)
Didn't take it as one Genghis, I find the majority of people are unlovely to look at and in no way worth preserving in 0s & 1s on my sd card. The trouble is I get trigger happy and tend to take too many pics, most of which are crap. SusanThe Earth Moved 17:56, 29 February 2008 (EST)
I have the same problem! I'll take ten minutes taking pictures of a bridge, but groan when my parents insist on being in one or two pictures alongside it. --Star of David.png Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 14:26, 3 March 2008 (EST)

PicLens

Okay, I'm seriously liking this. I'd like it better if there was an elegant way to browse your own hard drive, but I guess that'll come sooner or later. I use photos as reference when I'm drawing a lot, and I go through a lot of photos before I find something I think fits. This speeds up the process quite a lot, and gives me bigger pics than I usually get on Flickr, too. --Kels 12:30, 1 March 2008 (EST)

yeah - the link apparently changes when you add or amend the contents. search for "stonehaven" & select 'recent' that'll probably get you to some of ours & then you can do whatever you want. revert

hey Susan, why did you revert my comment on the talk page? I dont really care but just curious as to why. MetcalfeM 22:47, 9 March 2008 (EDT)

I have no recollection or idea, but if you meant this then I didn't; you did. ( it went back to my previous edit) :) Susanpurrrrr 23:11, 9 March 2008 (EDT)
Uhhhhhhh to much beer and dance music. I am guilty of gaytheism and i am not even gay. Damn it

MetcalfeM 23:22, 9 March 2008 (EDT)

cp:gaytheism is real! I'll hear nothing against it! Susanpurrrrr 23:26, 9 March 2008 (EDT)
i just cannot believe that there is an article on gaytheism. Jesus its funny as fuck.

MetcalfeM 23:31, 9 March 2008 (EDT)

Does 1 line count as an article. Oh of course it's Conciseopediaa! Susanpurrrrr 23:34, 9 March 2008 (EDT)

Conciseness is important. As soon as you deny that you become a gaytheist. HAHAHAHA i am still laughing. MetcalfeM 00:01, 10 March 2008 (EDT)

Child abuse

Susan, I downloaded a documentary from Channel 4 on Demand the other day called Baby Bible Bashers in some ways it was quite depressing but you have to feel for kids. Jollyfish.gifGenghis Marauding 15:31, 10 March 2008 (EDT)

Somehow you feel worse when the cruelty is inflicted with the intention of saving the abusee. They often feel it's their fault and suffer feelings of guilt for the punishment of their abusers. -Makes me sick to my stomach. Susanpurrrrr 15:37, 10 March 2008 (EDT)

Wikis

I have been involved with many wikis. Below are the main ones.

  1. The 1st one I found was Wikipedia. I’ve written a lot there but I’m always getting into trouble because the others think what I’ve written is too original. Other times they think I’m biased. That means they’re biased in a different direction from me. Other times what I’ve written gets deleted because it’s not considered suitable for an encyclopaedia. Wikipedia is very large and impersonal. I tend to work on my own and don’t contact the same people again. You can join specific projects on Wikipedia and keep meeting the same people. The rudeness that happens here would never be tolerated on Wikipedia.
  2. The next Wiki I joined was Wikinfo That’s a very polite and friendly wiki. Fred Bauder runs the Wiki and would never tolerate abuse. I felt so peaceful there away from the problems of Wikipedia. I’m a Sysops on Wikinfo which is cool. I’ve used sysops power to edit the main page. It’s protected for ordinary users. I started Poet’s Corner and the Writers’ Corner and linked them both to the main page. None of the sysops at Wikinfo has ever done anything like a malicious block. If there were any abuse of power those cool sysops buttons would disappear from the perpetrator’s computer screen as soon as Fred Bauder got to his computer..
I strongly recommend Wikinfo to you.
  3. My next Wiki was Wiktionary. I had problems there. The last straw was when a sysops abused power. He deleted an entry I made. Then he re-entered it and pretended he wrote it. I hardly edit there any more.
  4. Next I found EvoWiki. They’re cool there but evolution only is a bit limited.
  5. From EvoWiki I found RationalWiki. I was so hopeful. At last there was a freethought wiki where our ideas can be developed without irrational people of faith hindering us. I hope that will happen. I hope all the sadism lulz won’t drive potentially useful contributors away and give atheism a bad name.
  6. From RationalWiki I found Liberapedia. They cover politics as well as freethought. The standard of the articles is lower than it is here. It’s cool to be one of the more intelligent people on the site. More important they leave you in peace there. Only deliberate vandals get trouble.
    Barbara Shack 14:31, 11 March 2008 (EDT)

I like RW (mostly), probably because I'm an antique who likes being liked (as I think I am here). The lulz sometimes gets on my nerves too. I use RW as an escape from what I'm supposed to be doing (Writing/rewriting) - I'd rather be out walking - roll on Summer. Liberapedia is IMHO stupid, Wikipedia is too BIG - haven't tried Wikinfo -will go & look, Evowiki is probably too serious for me (& I feel generally out of my depth!) Susanpurrrrr 14:45, 11 March 2008 (EDT)

I agree, Liberapedia could do with intelligent people improving the less inspiring articles. That's what I'm trying to do there. I hope writing there will attract more intelligent contributors and the Wiki will improve.Barbara Shack 14:54, 11 March 2008 (EDT)

spellig

"Some of our readers have noticed that archeology is spelled in two ways on our web site: archeology and archaeology. Either spelling is correct" Just FYI, for the imperialists to note... humanUser talk:Human 15:24, 13 March 2008 (EDT)

[1]
So? It's still a correct spelling. Just because it is used less means nothing relative to that. humanUser talk:Human 16:59, 13 March 2008 (EDT)
Mmm... I'd assumed it was incorrect until I'd altered about 5 & thought to check - Humble Apologies.
