Angband was the stronghold of Morgoth, the main enemy in Tolkien's Silmarillion (before LotR). Angband is an incredibly addictive game played with ascii symbols instead of graphics where you explore the lair gathering weapons, armor and other treasure, before eventually facing Morgoth himself. The new site is http://rephial.org/. There's also a forum. There were some odd issues with an earlier maintainer, and that led to the site changing a couple of times along the way. A horribly addictive game.--^{Ask me about your mother} 21:57, 11 March 2010 (UTC)

We all did. We should form a support group for people who lost their characters. I've had months of gameplay wiped out by a single night of drunken or tired playing. You should give Angband a look.
