Fairies were are small, pixieish[1] creatures which are now generally believed to be extinct alive and well on islands uninhabited by humans (and underground).

Evidence for fairies

Some of the most striking evidence for fairies yet uncovered.
  • The existence of fairies has never been disproven and consequently they should be accepted as real until such time as there is positive proof of their non-existence.
  • A belief in fairies gives many people comfort and taking away that comfort would be cruel and could destabilize society.
  • Although many would say that the belief in fairies is illogical or irrational, the principle of NOMA means that scientific questioning or rationality shouldn't be used to examine the fairy question as it has spiritual or religious overtones for some people.
  • There is a conspiracy amongst scientists which involves the suppression of fairy data.
  • Many people have given testimonials attesting to their contacts with fairies.
  • Attempts to investigate fairies scientifically don't properly take into account the special characteristics of fairies which mean they cannot be properly investigated using the scientific method.
  • Many famous authors have spoken about fairies in their works.
  • Stories about fairies or similar beings exist in all cultures; therefore there must be some truth in the idea.
  • Statistics show that people who believe in fairies are more kind and gentle. This shows that fairies are directly influencing their lives for good and proves the existence of fairies.
  • Very many good, honest sincere people through history and the world believe and have believed in fairies - simply denying the existence of fairies is an unfair insult to these fine people.
  • People like Hitler and Stalin did not believe in fairies, and since they were evil, fairies must exist.
  • I prayed to a fairy and got full marks on my exams, thus, it was due to the fairy performing a miracle, proving its existence.
  • The lead singer of the band Queen was a Fairy.
  • People who believe in fairies are statistically more likely to give to charities, showing the moral superiority of fairy belief systems.
  • There are many Youtube videos which attest to the existence of fairies.

Note – any similarities between the following section and the Conservapedia article on dinosaurs are purely coincidental.

Teach the debate

Ever since the discovery of fairy stories, there has been debate between scientists and Creationists about whether and how fairies fit into the history of life on Earth. Young-Earth creationists reject common sense and uniformitarian time-scales, and therefore believe that humans and fairies co-existed. Creationists also reject the now-popular idea that fairies evolved into birds.

Creationary science perspective

Young Earth Creationists believe, based primarily on a complete and utter misunderstanding ofscience, logic and Biblical sources, that the fairy baramin was created on day 6 of the Creation Week approximately 6,000 years ago, along with other land animals, and therefore co-existed with humans. As such, they reject sanity, the Theory of Evolution and geological knowledge about the age of the earth.

They believe that fairies lived in harmony with other animals, (probably within in the Garden of Eden) eating only plants. Furthermore they believe that pairs of each fairy kind were taken onto Noah's Ark during the Great Flood and where they were preserved from drowning, and that possibly some descendants of those fairies taken aboard the Ark are still around today. They go on to use stupidity and fairy tales to argue that fairies co-existed with mankind until at least relatively recent times. Because the term only came into use in the 19th century, the Bible does not use the word "fairy." However, they are mentioned frequently in fairy tales.

Creationists and fairies

Creationists reject the "Giant Cat Eating Theory", pointing out multiple problems with this theory. Creationists believe that evolutionists are frequently coming out with a "New Theory of Fairy Extinction" and that their theories are laden with false assumptions. The “Giant Cat Extinction Theory” for example has numerous problems. For example fairy extinction was not sudden and does not necessarily correspond exactly to Great Cat Attack events. Furthermore some fairies survived the complete extinction showing that – in complete contradiction to the previous sentence - they are not, in fact extinct, after all.

Modern and historical sightings of fairy-like creatures

Creationists cite a number of reasons to believe that fairies have existed until relatively recent times, and, indeed, still survive.

  • There have been a number of claimed sightings of fairy-like creatures; though it is not clear what drugs may have been involved in the sightings.
  • A thousand (presumably stoned) people reported seeing a fairy-like monster in two sightings around Blyss lake in Wan King Province according to the Chinese publication, Gullibility Today.
  • Among those who believe in the existence of the Loch Ness Monster, one popular theory is that it is a big fairy. It is, however, unwise to make this suggestion to the local Scots.
  • Denizens of the Internet have reported a creature they name Andrewschlafly which, from its description, appears to be a small plant-eating fairy. The reports have been taken seriously enough that a biologist from Chicago University once spent ten minutes on a Google search.
  • There are drawings of creatures resembling fairies in many children’s school books.
  • An expedition into the internet which included Conservapedia Sysops examined what they claim is a genuine two thousand year old photograph portraying fairies and man “coexisting”.
  • An item of graffiti in Pompeii, a second century piece of art, is said to be a piece of artwork that shows a fairy and man “coexisting lustfully”.
  • Etchings on the floor of The Vatican appear to be of fairies. They are on the tomb of Archbishop Rodney Herbert O'Gould, who died in 1066. Contemporary records frequently describe him as “coexisting”.
  • The description of the demon “Tinker Bell” by American Indians matches the descriptions of a monster fairy.
  • Fairies pinch Falstaff in Shakespeare's The Merry Wives of Windsor.
  • Descriptions of dragons are widespread and match descriptions of fairies. This suggests that dragons were real creatures and which were, in reality, gigantic fire-breathing fairies. (Although this may shed some doubt on the “coexisting” hypothesis.)
  • Fire-breathing fairies appear in the flag of Wales, and in traditional Chinese New Years' Day celebrations, and in the Chinese calendar. Every other creature on the Chinese calendar is a real creature - so the fairies must be real too. !!!one11@one!!
  • In 1882, a half fairy was elected to the position of MP in the UK House of Commons and was successful in passing an act to submit unelected Lords to competitive examination.

The debunking website True.Origins states that the inclusion of fairies within many cultures is based on human gullibility and faulty reasoning. It goes on to say that ancient people, unaware that the forces of nature had scientific explanations, attributed the forces to living, magical creatures. This would explain the importance of fairies in Chinese culture - there are a large number of fairy (as well as non-fairy) stories to be found in China. CretinWiki's response is, as usual, garbage.

Footnotes

  1. The precise relationship between pixies and fairies is not known, but they probably belong to the holobaramin of Non-Kosher Winged Hominids, meaning that at least 2 1/2 pairs were present on the Ark
