List of Coincidence Theories

A coincidence theory is often used to dismiss conspiracy theories. It posits that what at first blush might appear to be circumstantial evidence of a conspiracy or wrongdoing is actually just pure coincidence. Coincidence theories, like many conspiracy theories, are not usually falsifiable, in that it is not usually possible to ex post facto disprove a coincidence.

  • Zacarias Moussaoui had access to Nick Berg's email address and password, and used Nick Berg's email account to send messages, while both lived in or around Norman, Oklahoma, a suburb of Oklahoma City.[1] Nick Berg was investigated and released. Later, Nick Berg turned up in Iraq, was detained by authorities, released, kidnapped, forced to be in a terrorist propaganda video, executed, and then had, graphically, his head cut off on camera. Zacarias Moussaoui is currently serving a life sentence for conspiracy to kill Americans.

  • Blood did not squirt out of Nick Berg's neck as is usual during decapitations.[2]
  • Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, Nick Berg's reported executioner, did not limp in the Nick Berg execution video even though he had been injured in Afghanistan, and reportedly had a wooden leg (not at all obvious by the video).

  • Larry Silverstein owned the leases to buildings 1, 2, and 7 of the world trade center buildings.[3]
  • Regarding WTC building 7, Larry Silverstein admits in an videotaped PBS interview that he made the decision to "pull-it."[4] The term "pull-it", coincidentally, is a vernacular term used to give the final go-ahead when buildings are rigged for controlled demolitions.
  • Building 7 of the WTC was the location of New York City's Office of Emergency Management (OMA). OMA evacuated building 7 after airliners struck WTC1 and WTC2, and moved their center of operations to Pier-93, where FEMA was coincidentally set up for an unrelated terror exercise code named TRIPOD II.
  • In a March, 2001 pilot episode of a television program called The Lone Gunman, an airliner is highjacked via remote control and piloted to crash into the world trade center as part fictional conspiracy among some powerful individuals in the military industrial complex to conduct a false flag operation, start a war with Muslim nations, and fund a "war on terror."[5][6]

  • According to his son, Admiral Chester Nimitz Sr. predicted the Japanese would surprise attack the United States, and turned down what seemed like a once in a lifetime opportunity to command the Pacific Fleet. But the Japanese did attack, and Admiral Nimitz was offered the command after the scapegoats heads' rolled.[7] He then had something big named after him.

  • Chris Benoit Wikipedia investigation: A WWE insider knew about the Chris Benoit murder suicide hours before authorities, and posted it to wikipedia instead of calling the police.

[edit] Other bizarre coincidences

One set of strange coincidences is the occurrence of exercises similar to or exactly the same as actual terror attacks, coincidentally on the same day as actual terror attacks.

  • In a "bizarre coincidence," the National Reconnaissance Office had scheduled an exercise in which a small corporate jet would crash into one of the four towers at the agency's headquarters on 9/11/2001.[8][9]
  • Peter Power disclosed that on 7/7/2005 that his consulting firm Advisors Consultants was running a terror exercise on the same day and time at the same locations as the actual 7/7 London Underground bombings.[10][11]
  • On 7/7, Netanyahu had been warned immediately before 7/7 attacks.[12]
